What is a Tokunbo Car?
Trust me when i tell you this i asked the same question!!
In
Nigeria, Tokunbo has multiple meanings but the predominant definition
refers to "used cars," and these are all the rage -- they make up 80% of
the cars on the road in Africa's most populated country. This
ethnographic film explores the inner workings of this trade as well as
the reasons behind the popularity of Tokunbo, and Nigeria's preference
for vehicles previously owned by North Americans and Europeans.
All credits go to Kevin Anderson YouTube channel he made a great video for what a tokunbo car is.
