Is RoRo (roll on roll of) the best choice for me?

*Roll on Roll off services are cost effective and cheaper for you to clear out of many destination ports. All vehicles must run and drive and personal effects are not allowed to be placed inside the vehicles. Vehciles can be picked up at strategic locations and taken directly to the port as long as the title is ready and available on hand. This method is Cheaper for those of you who plan on shipping 1 or 2 cars or dont want to pay ridiculous prices for clearing Containers.

USA departure ports RO RO: Jacksonville,FL Galveston,TX Savannah, GA Bayonne, NJ Baltimore, MD Porthsmout, VA

Is Container the best choice for me?

*Containers are specifically for customers who would like to export their vehicles or units in an enclosed safe and secure manner. Up to 4 vehicles can be loaded inside 1 container and Personal effects are allowed. You can chose different sizes 20FT, 40FT and 40HC. 20ft containers are usually expensive u should not be paying more than $3500 for a 20 ft Container (Know your Prices)

USA depature Ports Container: Oakland, CA ,Long Beach, CA Houston, TX Miami, FL Savannah, GA , Newark. NJ

What is a Dock Receipt?

*A receipt issued by an ocean carrier to acknowledge receipt of a shipment at the carrier's dock or warehouse facilities..

1. Roll on roll of prices increase for LARGE trucks/Vans over 650cubic feet! know the dimensions of your vehicle before purchasing to avoid Unwanted cost. You can check your Dimensions at http://www.vessel-shipping.com/#/car-size-and-dimensions/4575345503

2.You will need the following so a dock receipt can be created for your vehicle to enter the port
2a)Copy of the Title or actual title (depends if your car is being taken directly to the port with the title from pickup location)
2b)Shippers Name:
2c)Consignee's Name:
2d)Address:
2e)Passport Number:
2f)Phone Number:

3. Most people in Nigeria are working with someone in the United States to purchase vehicles on their behalf. Please note: For a vehicle to enter the port a Dock Receipt is required. If you are working with someone who is exporting vehicles for you and is telling you your car is sitting at the port and has not left yet for months?. Demand a copy of the STAMPED Dock Receipt! The stamped Dock Receipt with the date is your proof your vehicle has actually entered the port.

4. To avoid being robbed of your money for rebuilt cars always request a copy of the title after purchase to make sure the title is stamped clean, Salvage, or rebuilt. Some people are receiving stamped certified for destruction cars from the USA. And when a car is stamped Certified for Destruction it means it is illegal to drive in the United States but it can be exported were you might be the one driving a certified for destruction Vehicle and don't even know it. You can always do a Vin check too

5.When buying cars from Auctions please be aware that the title may not be ready that same day of winning the Auction! and you will be charged storage fee's after the grace period ends. Please note: if you buy vehicles from auctions try to purchase them closer to your freight forwarders warehouse so it can easily be transported their at prices such as $50 or $100 until your title is ready and your can can be exported. Most auctions charge $25 a day for storage and can sometimes take over a week for the title to be ready. You are already at $150 in 7 days and you still have to pay ground transportation fee's to the port. Try to Avoid these extra cost by buying closer to your freight forwarder! it can save you money!

Knowing just these minor things can save you loads of money.

Cargo Shipping to Nigeria

Vessel Shipping is also known as Cargo Shipping. It is a known fact that 90% of all trade travels by water, from cars to heavy machinery; From frozen goods to nuts and oil. Majority of these cargo vessels transport hundreds of containers ranging in sizes of 20ft, 40ft, and 40hc which is usually loaded with Goods or motor Vehicles. Heavy Machinery can sometimes be dismantled and placed inside of a container, but majority of the time they enter large Roll on Roll off ships that house hundreds if not thousands of cars and trucks. The roll on roll of method is a cost effective and very efficient manner of exporting or importing several vehicles due to its easiness when it comes to off-loading once it reaches its port of destination. The downside to roll on roll off is that no personal effects are allowed to be placed inside the vehicle. 40ft Containers can House up to four cars and personal effects are allowed to be placed inside the vehicles such as tires, a TV, furniture etc. All gasoline inside each vehicle must be drained before loading to avoid any catastrophic accidents such as explosions at the port. Each vehicle must properly be cleared by the United States customs before clearance can be approved for export. Cars without a title cannot be exported out of the country. Markets for Vessel Shipping are World wide from Latin America, Caribbean, The Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Africa. For more information you can Visit Vessel-Shipping.com to request a quote.
